Wolfson Interact Club Evening
Join the Wolfson Interact Club, the Deerwood Rotary and San Marco Books and More as we gather together in support of Sudan.
This evening will feature a reading of A Long Walk to Water by Linda Sue Park and Ginger Knowlton. Copies of the book will be available and all purchases that mention WOLFSON will go toward a donation by San Marco Books and More for funds being raised for the Interact Club's global service project. Online sales will also count toward our donation, so be sure to share this event far and wide.
When the Sudanese civil war reaches his village in 1985, eleven-year-old Salva becomes separated from his family and must walk with other Dinka tribe members through southern Sudan, Ethiopia, and Kenya in search of a safe haven. Based on the life of Salva Dut, who, after emigrating to America in 1996, began a project to dig water wells in Sudan.
